Sparta Small Tire Shootout 2015 Rules
The Sparta Small Tire Shootout is a small tire, stock suspension, clocks off class contested on the 1/8th mile and open to any domestic or import vehicle.
General Guidelines and Event Rules:
-
Racers will be called to the lanes before the start of the event to draw for run order (racers must be present for this or will result in a DQ).
-
All racers names will be placed in a hat and drawn at random by event staff to determine pairings. After each round of eliminations the remaining racers will continue to have their names drawn at random to determine pairings.
-
The winner of each race will be determined by which racer's board displays the win light (There will be NO TIMES POSTED)
-
Bye runs will be the last name drawn, and will automatically race against the first name drawn in the following round. One buy per racer (if a buy is drawn twice, a new name will be drawn)
-
All races will use an instant green start (No ambers, from full stage to GREEN)
-
Crossing the center line in front of your opponent (before the win light indicates a winner) will result in a elimination.
-
Red lights will result in a loss. If both racers red light, the win will go to the racer whose red light violation was less
-
Should the need for a ruling arise from a race, SSTS staff will hold ultimate authority in making said ruling, and all rulings are final--PERIOD.
-
Absolutely NO track prep of your own allowed! All races will be ran with standard track prep ONLY! Any attempts to prep the track may result in a DQ of the racer whose crew makes the attempt
-
A racer may be DQ'd for any reason not listed here at the discretion of SSTS staff
-
A DQ will result in forfeit of entry fees for racer and crew.
-
SSTS event staff have the ability to change any rules at any time
Cars will be tech'ed by both a track tech inspector and event staff to make sure that participant vehicles are safe and meet the rules to run in each class. For any clarification of the rules below, please use the contact page on the site to get in touch with SSTS staff regarding concerns.
